"Ever wonder how to crochet those cute little appliques? Wonder no more- check out this quickie guide that takes you through the steps of crocheting!"

The video is fast paced for a crocheter learning. There were times I pushed the pause button to keep up. Remember you can hit pause, then play again.

Have fun with this!

Teaching Hands: Kids Group Belly Dancers

Belly dancing was once a weekly lesson for me to attend. We worked hard yet, it was almost a relaxing form of dancing. I'll admit this wasn't during my childhood. We didn't have belly dancing lessons when I was little.

Enough about me. Gee, I get rambling along...

The girls in this video are wonderful. Such talent. Fantastic group of dancers to watch. Enjoy!

Pretty Cute

video

If you are down about the weather being a little cooler lately, this funny, cute video will warm the musical dance side of your heart. I hope you will enjoy this video as much as I have!

Teaching Hands: Crochet Towel Topper

Teaching Hands: Crochet a hat!

"THIS VIDEO was made for a friend who ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO CROCHET. I am not teaching beginners to crochet. In fact, my goal with this was simply to SHOW A FRIEND how I make a hat."

A beginner will be frustrated with the speed of instructions and filming. You can always hit the pause button as you watch. Again, this is a fast pace video for a beginner. And the video was made for a friend who knows how to crochet.

Teaching Hands:DIY Aprons, Threadbanger

I'm on overload with all of the apron ideas running through my head from this video. Which reminds me that I have old material laying around too. Perhaps the aprons can be gifts for family and friends? Hm...

Teaching Hands: Indie Clothing, Chaos Clothing, Threadbanger

Take a look at what you can DIY for your wardrobe. Complete independence from corporate fashion. There are numerous ideas from the 18 year old designer. Her idea to jazz or punk out a pair of pants seems rather easy.

Teaching Hands;Thrift Stores, Goodwill, Cute Kitties, Threadbanger

Cool and easy ideas for you to create a new wardrobe. All from your local thrift store. The sock puppets are funny.

Teaching Hands:New York Fashion, Street Vendors, Punk Fashion, Threadbanger

This video was created two years ago yet, worth a look. Corrine and Rob show you several artist and their handmade items. Aren't the stuffed toys cute. Had no idea one could do that to a t-shirt let alone shoes.

The end of this video will teach you how to sew on a button, good to know.

Plastic Bag Crochet - CRAFT Video Podcast

The morning has flown by with one phone call on top of the next. No, I'm not a social butterfly more of wheeling and dealing. Yes, lots of coffee was consumed. Switched to water to keep myself at a calmer pace. Less rambling for you to read.

Let's talk about Cristen.

She's an amazing woman who has taken her talent of crocheting and mixed it in with recycling. No typo here with the word recycling.

Cristen will show you how to cut the plastic bags to make your ball of yarn. She will show you a couple of her ideas.

Teaching Hands found a huge bag of plastic bags sitting in our recycle bin. Since it was sitting at the very top, yanked it out. We will post our recycled projects in the near future.

We welcome your projects too.

Gotta dash the phone is ringing once again.

Teaching Hands: Wire and Bead Rings - Crafts Beautiful January 2008: Jewelry

Finding a quality video can take time on my part. This morning I'm on cup three of the fresh brewed stuff. While sipping the steaming cup of joe realized I found a winner. You will be able to follow every step in making yourself a new ring.

Some of the videos are too short with minimal content. They are like ordering a hamburger without the burger. Ick. I try my best not to post these for you.

Back to the cute ring.

The designer Corrin used silver plated wire, buttons and some gem stones. The button ring looked easy to do by Corrin's directions. She made mention that these work up real quick. And you can use these as a fund raiser for your nonprofit.

You have been considered one of the 10 prettiest
ladies I know with one of the kindest, warmest and
loving heart that I have met on my journey thus far!

My life would certainly be different if I had not met you
and you had not chosen to let me into a part of your life.

Since you have been hit, you have to hit 10 pretty
ladies with kind, warm and loving hearts.

If you get hit again you know you're really pretty and kind.

So hit 10 pretty ladies to let them know they
are pretty -- both on the inside and the outside
- and that they are loved and cared for.

SEND THIS TO PRETTY LADIES, TO BRIGHTEN THEIR
DAY, INCLUDING THE ONE WHO SENT IT TO YOU!
REMIND LADIES TO BE INFORMED, AWARE AND BE
CHECKED FOR THEIR HEALTH'S SAKE. TELL THEM
THAT NO ONE WANTS TO LOSE THEM -
AFTER ALL, THEY ARE PRETTY LADIES WITH
KIND, WARM LOVING HEARTS......

All you are asked to do is keep this circulating
(even if to one person).

In memory of anyone you know that has

Teaching Hands Sharing Finger_Knitting

Some where in my archives of blogger this video has been posted. Trying to this is like a needle in a haystack. Or perhaps its because of my lack of patients with things like this. LOL

Anywho, here is a video that will teach you to finger knit. Have your beginner knitter try this first. Does help to give knitting a positive adventure.

Enjoy

Teaching Hands Sharing Crochet Star Stitch

Teresa takes you through four rows on the Crochet Star Stitch. Her easy to follow instruction makes this another project for you. Since there are numerous projects needing my immediate attention not sure when I'll get to this one.

However, this looks like a lot of fun to do.

Puff Stitch Crochet Scarf

This video runs for 8:34 which, may seem to be a long time. Its not cause Teresa is very thorough with her instructions. The Puff Stitch gives your scarf a different texture that you won't find at WalMart, K-Mart or your local mall.

Imagine your friends surprise when you make then a handcrafted scarf. :-)
